I’m an experienced fundraising specialist, helping charities grow their income and deepen their impact.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in senior roles across the charity sector, I now work as a freelance fundraiser and consultant, supporting clients throughout the UK and internationally. My in-depth industry knowledge helps charities develop effective fundraising strategies, build strong pipelines, and research and engage potential funders.
I specialise in crafting compelling applications and telling each organisation’s story with clarity and heart. My current projects include developing diverse income streams and exploring lesser-known funding opportunities for a global children’s palliative care charity. I’m also working with a technical specialist to create CRM and fundraising packages that can be white labelled to help raise awareness and funds for charities.
Collaboration is key to the success of every project I deliver. I work closely with my clients and a trusted network of talented professionals, including Annie Littlewood (strategic writer), Andrew Johnson (fundraising and marketing specialist), and Phil Snook (software development and systems).
Upcoming projects include a healthcare-focused partnership with Annie Littlewood, where we’ll be supporting some of the most vulnerable people across the country. Combining our expertise, we aim to help non-profit organisations strengthen their funding approaches and create sustainable change.
Working remotely from my cottage on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales allows me to bring a sense of calm and composure to every project. I love walking my dog, growing flowers and plants, and spending time with my family in nature. I’m a proud mum to Margot and to Harley, my Patterdale terrier x Labrador.

As director of fundraising, Cassie was, for me, on behalf of NHS Tayside was the voice and face of the organisation. A major component of this target was achieved with the 2016 original Oor Wullie Bucket Trail, the fantastic city art display that culminated in the successful auction of the sculptures for the breathtaking sum of £883,000.
